Product Details for Huggler Nativity Figures: Huggler Swiss Nativity Figures. The Standing Angel
A hand carved Angel, usually depicted proclaiming Jesus` birth to the assembled shepherds.
This has got to be the best carved Nativity scene in the world. They are hand carved in Switzerland by a company that has been making the same figures since 1915. Each character is based on a real person in the village at the time the company was founded. The figures have been skilfully painted with a light wash finish to enhance and bring out the beauty of the wood (Lime) To give an idea of size the standing figures are 16cm tall. Larger figures can be ordered if required.
