The cave nativity scene from Schalling
This beautifully crafted and turned nativity scene is a joy to behold. Each human figure is approximately 12cm tall. All the figures are constructed from turned pieces of Alder wood (Alnus glutinosa) and have a finely sanded finish. The base is 58cm X 29cm. The scene comes in six separate boxes for storage through the year. The figures are divided into the following categories, starting from the left: Three Angels, The Holy Family (3), The Three Wise Men, Three Soldiers.
